Carpoolers is a photobook by Alejandro Cartagena that documents Mexican workers commuting in the back of pickup trucks, revealing issues of suburban sprawl, labor, and social stratification in Monterrey, Mexico. Photographed from an overpass, the images show laborers packed into trucks, often with their tools, highlighting the long commutes required by the city's unplanned growth and the economic divide
